We are getting a group of like-minded people together to learn, grow and make a difference in Gambia. The community project(s) will be organised by WYCE - Wonder Years Centre of Excellence - a wonderful UK registered charity (number: 1089167) that is making a real and lasting difference in Gambia.

More about the event:

WYCE (Wonder Years Centre of Excellence) is a British registered charity working out in Gambia to benchmark best practise - in a village project that is working to develop the village as a whole (rather than “just” education”). We will go out to the village to do what is truly best for the community, rather than what we as outsiders think is needed at the time. Projects might include working on water systems, digging trenches for waste or power, medical surveys or land clearance. It might even be using your skills to help in the schools or the health centre.

Most of your time will be spent directly helping within the village.

All profits that the charity makes from the programme will be spent within the project to make an ongoing difference to the people who live in the village. You will be able to see first hand just how effectively the charity spends money raised to make a remarkable difference, transforming lives.

We are currently inviting interest in this project which is most likely to be a 10 day experience in total (although with a lifetime of benefits, memories and connections).

Dates will be set once enough people have expressed interest in making this special project viable.
